 Age Limit
Normal upper age limit is 25 years as on June 1, 2013. The upper age limit will be relaxed, subject to a maximum age limit of 45 years, for the following categories of candidate:-

i) ST candidates by 5 years i.e. upto 30 years subject to production of certificate issued by the Competent Authority in the format as prescribed by the Government of India, at the interview stage, if called for interview.
ii) Other Backward Class (OBC) candidates by 3 years, i.e. upto 28 years.
iii) Ex-servicemen candidates further to the extent of period of service rendered by them in the Armed Forces plus an additional period of 3 years subject to a maximum of 45 years.
iv) Displaced persons from Jammu and Kashmir between 01.01.1980 and 31.12.1989 by 5 years, subject to production of certificate from the concerned District Magistrate or any other Authority designated by the Government of Jammu and Kashmir.
v) Ex-employees of Banking Institutions/Government Offices who were retrenched after at least one year’s service provided they apply through Employment Exchange, by 6 years, subject to production of certificate from concerned Establishment.
The upper age limit of 45 years is uniformly applicable to candidates belonging to all categories inclusive of reserved candidates

Selection Process
The candidates shortlisted for the posts of Security Guard may have to undergo written test and/or interview and their selection will be made on the basis of their performance in the written test and/or interview. Accordingly, candidates found suitable will be placed on waitlist to be prepared subject to vacancy and reservation requirements. Mere fulfilling of eligibility criteria does not entitle a candidate to be called for interview. The Bank reserves the right to raise the minimum eligibility standards etc. in order to limit the number of candidates to be called for interview commensurate with the number of vacancies. The decision of the Bank in this regard will be final.

How to Apply
  1. Candidates must apply in the prescribed format of application as in Annex. Application in any other format will be rejected.
  2. The format of the application form published herewith should not itself be used as Application. A4 sheet (29.7cm x 21cm) should be used for the application. Application may be preferably typewritten or neatly handwritten in English (Block/Capital) or Hindi.
  3. Application should be supported by the following documents:
  • Attested copies of certificates regarding age and educational qualifications.
  • Latest passport size self attested photograph (3cm x 2.5cm) should be affixed on the right hand top corner of the application.

 Ineligibility

TERMS&CONDITIONS OF SERVICE
 The selected candidates will be appointed in the rank of Sub Lieutenant on the date decided by the IntegratedHeadquarters of Ministry of Defence (Navy) [IHQ-MoD(N)]. The candidate will be granted Short Service commission(SSC). They will be subject to an initial probationary period which will commence from the date of grant of the rank of Sub Lieutenant and will terminate after two years from the date of their reporting to the INA. The Officers will be on probation for a period of two years and till completion of their initial training (whichever is later), during which they are
liable to be discharged if their performance is unsatisfactory. During the period from date of appointment to reporting for training, the individual will be entitled to half the basic pay of the rank, which will be payable as a lump-sum as stipend at the time of joining INA, Ezhimala for training. The terms of SSC will be for a period of 10 yrs, extendable by a further
period of 04 years subject to service requirements and performance/ willingness of candidates. Candidates who fail to qualify at the final graduation (aggregate 60%) will be discharged from service without any benefits.

 Candidates have to submit application online only for this entry. Receipt of multiple applications from the samecandidate will result in cancellation of candidature. The candidate applying online (e-application) can do so from22 Jun 13. The online application registration will close on 27 Jul 13.Whilst filling up the e-application, it is advisable to keep the relevantdocuments readily available to enable thefollowing: -
(a) Correct filling up of personal particulars, details are to be filled up as given in the Matriculation Certificate.

(a) Click in the ‘Officer Entry’ button under the option ‘Apply Online’ on the Home page.
(b) Fill the online registration form. Tips to assist in filling up fields have been provided as you highlight
each field.
(c) Before Clicking the Submit button it should be checked whether all the details entered in the form
are correct as you will not be able to make any correction after saving the record.
(d) After submitting the form, an ‘Application Number’ will be generated by the system and displayed on
the screen. This Application Number will automatically appear on the printout of the form. If the system
does not generate the Application Number, it is an indication of non-acceptance of Application by the
system.
(e) Print a copy of this Application Form having the system generated Application Number. The copy of
this application form is to be submitted to the Campus Selection Team of Indian Navy at the time ofcampus interview.
 Obtain signature of the principal on the declaration given at the end of the application.
 Although candidates may be eligible for more than one branch/cadre yet they have to submit only one
application and mention priority at para 2 of Application Format. If candidate has submitted Duplicate
application, his candidature will be cancelled at any stage of selection process.

SELECTION PROCESS
The eligible candidates applying for the entry will have to appear before a Naval Campus Selection Teamfor interview. The candidates qualifying the campus interview will be shortlisted for SSB interview on thebasis of his/her preference for the entry, subject to meeting the eligibility criteria for particular entry. The finalselection of Branch/Cadre will be decided by IHQ-MoD(Navy) depending on number of vacancies in particularBranch/Cadre.
.Short listed candidates will be called for Campus Interview at their own expense at centres as notified byIHQ-MoD (Navy)/Command Headquarters. The screening will be conducted by a Naval Selection Team, andcandidates selected during campus interview will be called for SSB interviewat Bangalore/Bhopal/Coimbatorebetween Dec 13 to Apr 14.
(a) Conduct of SSB. Stage I test consisting of Officer Intelligence Rating(OIR) Test, Picture Perception
and Discussion test(PPDT) will be conducted on the first day. Candidate who fails to qualify in Stage I willbe routed back home on the same day. Stage II tests will comprise of Psychological testing, Group Task,Group Discussion and Personal Interview. No compensation will be paid in case of any injury sustainedas a result of tests. The duration of SSB will be 05 days Successful candidates will thereafter undergoSpecial Medical Examination for approximate duration of 05 days at nearest military hospital. Successfulcandidates of Pilot & Observer entry will undergo following on qualifying SSB:-
(i) Pilot Entry. PABT (PilotAptitude Battery Test) followed byAviationMedicals.
(ii) Observer Entry. Aviation Medicals.
(b) Change of SSB centre is not permissible. Any correspondence regarding change of SSB dates is tobe addressed to the Call-up Officer of the concerned SSB. Award of fresh dates, would be subject toavailability of date and batches at SSB centre.
(c) Candidates recommended by the SSBs and declared medically fit, will be appointed for training inorder of All India Merit depending on the number of vacancies.
(d) Return AC 3rd rail fare is admissible for the SSB interview, if appearing for the first time for the entry.
TRAINING
1.The training is scheduled to commence in Jun 2014 at Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala.
2.Candidates finally selected for UES, will be inducted as Officers in the rank of Sub Lieutenant andundergo 22 weeks Naval Orientation Course at the INA, Ezhimala, followed by professional training in NavalShips and Training Establishments.
(i) Pilot Entry. Pilot candidate will begin training with Naval Orientation Course at the INA, Ezhimala,followed byStage I and Stage II flying training at theAir ForceAcademy/Naval Establishment. On Successfulcompletion of Stage II training the Candidate will be awarded wings.
(ii) Observer Entry. Observer candidates will commences training with Naval Orientation Course at INA,
Ezhimala, followed by abridged SLt Tech Courses and flying training at Observer School. On successful
completion training at Observer School, the candidate will be awarded Observer Badge.
(iii) Submarine/Technical. Candidates finally selected for Submarine Specialisation, will be inducted asofficers in the rank of Sub Lieutenant and undergo Naval Orientation Course at the INA Ezhimalafollowed by professional training in other Naval Training Establishments/Ships. On completion of thetraining the candidates will have to pass Submarine Qualifying Board.

Payment Details
The candidates will be entitledfor Submarine Pay and allowances upto Rs.17,500/- per month, only after qualifying the SubmarineQualifyingBoard.
