Eligibility:
Should have a experience
in high and low rise concrete Building Structural Design.
Good command over structural analysis and design using finite element software
such as Etabs, Safe, Prokon, Medas,
Exporting the building
geometry using DXF from architectural autocad drawings either his own or using
draft person.
Developing initial
building 3D-model using structural finite element software Etabs, knowledge of
all statics and load combinations for gravity, wind and seismic, hydrostatic
loads.
Providing the structural
approximate sizing based on approximate design and initial model run.
Provide the vertical and
horizontal loads at pile heads out of worst load combination from 3D-analysis,
for geotechnical engineers to provide pile design.
Good knowledge of static
and dynamic analysis, working out scale factors in each directions, checking
the lateral translations, building fundamental periods, building accelerations
against the design code requirements or specialists literature.
Should be able to produce
all service load combination to the building performance for serviceability and
ultimate design of building components.
Ultimate design for
vertical elements such as core walls, columns using Etabs design option,
extracting the analysis and design out-put and summarizing in excel sheets.
Developing the general
arrangement plans based on initial design at basement car park, ground floors,
podium levels and typical higher floors.
Guide draft persons for
drawing production for general arrangement plans, column/beam/ slab schedules,
establishing the drawing list, drawing sizes and detailing formats.
Guiding the design
engineers for analysis, design and detailing.
Preparing scope of soil
investigation works.
Interpreting soil
investigation report and working out the parameters such as, support spring
constants, soil sub-grade reactions, safe bearing capacity etc.
Assisting architect with
structural inputs during the design development stage.
Coordination with MEP
engineers and provide structural solutions to accommodate building services.
Review Soil Investigation
interim report together with geotechnical consultants to evaluate the suitable
foundation system, dewatering strategy, piling platform level, piling toe &
cut off levels.
